As a Member and Senior Loan Officer at Principal Mortgage, Mr. Steur is currently working with clients to help meet their mortgage needs utilizing a variety of products, including fixed rate, adjustable rate mortgages, equity loans, and construction loans for new homes and renovations.
Mr. Steur previously served in several capacities at a Top 10 Birmingham based mortgage company. Most recently as a senior loan officer, as well as the manager of Construction Lending, where he managed an active portfolio of nearly $30 Million worth of residential construction projects all around the Southeast. He has worked in the banking and finance industry for the a decade, helping customers with a variety of needs including investment strategies, mortgages, construction loans and insurance. During his career he has received numerous distinctions including Rookie of the Year and the President’s Club award for the levels of quality service he has provided to his clients.
He is actively involved in the Birmingham Home Builders Association and the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce. Roger and his wife have 2 children and reside in Vestavia Hills. Mr. Steur is a graduate of Wake Forest University and is a member of the Birmingham chapter of the Wake Forest Alumni Club. He has been quoted in several articles dealing with mortgages and finance in the following publications the Birmingham News, the Alabama Mortgage Press, the Tennessee Mortgage Press, the Georgia Mortgage Press, the Louisiana Mortgage Press, and the Texas Mortgage Press. Additionally, he has served as a speaker at the new realtor training classes here in Birmingham.
